1. This is not a government website

officialadikailash.com is a privately owned website run by OFC aadi, Dehradun. The word “official” in the domain name does not mean, and should not be understood to mean, that this site is run by or connected to the Government of India, the Government of Uttarakhand, Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam (KMVN), the Pithoragarh District Administration, the ITBP, the SSB, or any other government body. We have no direct or indirect connection with any of them. Inner Line Permits are issued only by the District Administration; we assist with the paperwork.

2. Our role: booking facilitator

OFC aadi is a booking and coordination service. We arrange your trip with independent local operators from Dharchula, Nabi, Gunji and nearby villages who know the routes, weather and terrain. These operators — not OFC aadi — provide the transport, accommodation, meals, guides and on-ground support. We do not own the vehicles, homestays, or hotels, and we do not employ the drivers, guides, or cooks.

Once your trip begins, the local operator is responsible for the day-to-day conduct of the yatra. Our responsibility is limited to arranging the booking accurately and passing on the information you give us.

3. The risks are real

The Adi Kailash and Om Parvat region is a remote, high-altitude border area. You should understand that:

• Altitude reaches 4,300–4,500 m at Nabhidhang and Jolingkong. Altitude sickness (AMS, HAPE, HACE) can affect anyone regardless of age or fitness and can be fatal if ignored.
• There are no hospitals beyond Dharchula. Medical facilities in the valley are basic or non-existent. Evacuation may take many hours or days and may not be possible in bad weather.
• Roads are narrow mountain roads prone to landslides, rockfall, washouts, and closures, especially in the monsoon.
• Weather can change within minutes. Snow, rain and cold are possible in any month.
• There is little or no mobile network beyond Dharchula.
• This is a sensitive border area under military and administrative control. Rules, check-post requirements and closures can change without notice.

4. Your responsibilities

• You are responsible for your own health and fitness. Consult a doctor before booking if you are over 60, pregnant, or have heart, lung, blood pressure, diabetes, or any chronic condition. Disclose all medical conditions to us and to the local operator before departure.
• You must obtain the medical fitness certificate and pass the medical check at Dharchula. We cannot override the administration’s decision.
• You must carry valid original government photo ID, and follow all instructions of the local guide, drivers, police, ITBP, and administration.
• You must carry your own medicines, warm clothing, and personal gear. See the packing list on the itinerary page.
• We strongly recommend travel and medical insurance that covers high-altitude trekking (above 4,000 m) and emergency evacuation. We do not provide insurance.
• Alcohol and smoking are not permitted during the yatra. Anyone who endangers the group may be removed from the trip without refund.

5. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Indian law:

• OFC aadi is not liable for any injury, illness, altitude sickness, death, loss, theft, damage to property, delay, or expense arising from your participation in the trip, from the acts or omissions of local operators, drivers, guides, hotels or homestays, or from weather, road conditions, natural disasters, accidents, government action, or any event outside our control.
• Emergency costs (medical treatment, evacuation, helicopter, extra nights, return transport) are entirely your responsibility, as stated in “Not included” on every package page.
• Our total liability, in any case where we are found liable, is limited to the amount you paid to OFC aadi for the booking.
• Nothing on this website is medical, legal, or safety advice. Itinerary times, altitudes, distances and descriptions are indicative and may change.

6. Photographs and content

7. Complaints

If something goes wrong on the trip, tell the local guide immediately so it can be fixed on the spot. For complaints after the trip, email officialadikailash@gmail.com within 15 days.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the courts at Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
